Which Self help books actually work?
self help junkies, where are you? Did you ever read a book, try putting it into practise completely and found it actually worked? Side note: 'it's as much about your attitude as it is about the book you read' (or variants of this response) have been anticipated prior to asking. It's assuming you put a lot into practise of what a self help book advocated.
Authentic Happiness : Using the New Positive Psychology to Realize Your Potential for Lasting Fulfillment Learned Optimism: How to Change Your Mind and Your Life- This has to be my favorite, as I am a pessimist by nature The Art of Sexual Ecstasy: The Path of Sacred Sexuality for Western Lovers- This is just a good book to read.. the title explains it all- I enjoyed it... thoroughly :) The Wizard of Oz and Other Narcissists: Coping with the One-Way Relationship in Work, Love, and Family The first 2 books, I found very insightful and they really made me take a look inward. I feel use to spend countless hours looking outward for the environmental reasons for the way my life was going and for the ways in which i reacted to things. Am I the cause for the bad things that have happened in my life, that thought really never crossed my mind. I found out that through positive thinking, I really could change things
